End of holidayz~

After leaving this blog unattended for almost two weeks, at last I managed to gather my so-called “blogging mood” and sit here tapping onto my keyboard.

I have let the previous two weeks of holidays quietly slipped by without doing pretty much. Yeah of course there’s the online-daily-to-chat-and-watch-manga-or-drama part, there’s also the sleep-late-and-wake-up-as-late part. Certainly, I have gone out with friends for a few times but you can’t expect me to stay home and rot every day, can you? (Actually I don’t really mind that) But other than that, I can pretty much summarize that I have not fully utilized my holidays.

Look at Kimyen, at least she has slept and eaten like a pig. (haha don’t kill me ky, I meant it as a compliment =P) At least she had took her time to recharge and can start off the new sem, fully energized. Or look at Samuel, he has online non-stop for hours and still have time to go out many times in a week. Even Edmund has flown to New Zealand. (Even I don’t understand this comparison but I’ll just put there anyway) But I’m just stuck somewhere in between, which is neither play enough nor sleep enough and yes, I’m still stuck at home. Hahaha…

Anyway, the new timetable is out. Finally, our class gets our turn for a desirable schedule. Last sem’s was just so exhausting, and don’t even get me started on the numerous replacement classes just for three public holidays. This time, to our greatest pleasure, we only have classes on two days!! yaY~

That amount of free time, which is five days a week, allows me to ponder on many ideas. Good ones of course. I am thinking mayBe I can work part time. That would have to depend on results of my brief evaluation on the difficulty of the subjects after the first week into the sem and also, my parents’ consent. And of course, the major problem in most of my ideas, be it a normal outing or a planned trip, the transport. My parents seem to think public transport is too dangerous at night and tv dramas at night is too important to be missed. There’re still a lot to be considered. We’ll see, we’ll see.

Currently, I’m trying very hard to get back to a healthy lifestyle. That would first and foremost, include sleeping early. Don’t look lightly on this matter. This is extremely hard to be put into practice because:

1) During the sem, I simply have too much assignments and tutorials to finish before I can go to sleep. (notice I haven’t mention studying the notes)

2) When tests and exams are around the corner, I have to stay up late to study because I did not have sufficient time to do that during the sem – refer 1

3) When sem finished and holidays start, it’s hard to adjust your schedule straight away and you can’t deny it's hard to resist the temptation of PLAY ALL YOU CAN NOW THAT YOU'VE GOT THE TIME!! Haha…

Yea I know I asked for it in (3). Therefore now I’m gonna go offline and read my harry potter before I go to sleep at 12am ya. That’s the best I can do. =P

the so-called very difficult tag =P

Saw my name in Carmen's blog, tagged.

Since everyone's been talking about how this being the one of the few challenging tags, me-who-rarely-ever-do-tags shall give this a try..haha...

RULES:
It's harder than it looks!

As regular, copy to your own note, erase my answers, enter yours, and tag 20 people.
Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions.
They have to be real. Nothing made up!
If the person before you had the same first initial, you must use different answers.
You cannot use any word twice and you can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

1. What is your name: DeNise~

2. A four Letter Word: Damn (haha...)

3. A boy's Name: Daniel

4. A girl's Name: Danielle (convenient isn’t it=P)

5. An occupation: Doggie trainer?

6. A colour: Doraemon blue =D

7. Something you'll wear: Denim (Still looking for a nice pair of grey ones...)

8. (No Question? Anything I like! HAHA): Hmm...Things I like don’t start with 'D' you see...*thinks real hard* Oh! I like Dreams. Pleasant ones. Or those in which I can exercise my overflowing imagination to the fullest and materialize in my sleep what i couldn't in my real life =D

9. A food: Danish butter cookiEs~

10. Something found in the bathroom or your bag: err... Drink?

11. A place: Dunedin *wink*

12. A reason for being late: Datz me as usual! =P (well u can’t blame a girl for being late for 5 or 10 minutes will ya? There’s no need to clarify further Ed, if u ever see this haha)

13. Something you'd shout: Dear~ (if I ever find one, that is.)

14. A movie title: D. (As in the Initial D, u know, with Jay Chou...)

15. Something you drink: Dew, the honey dew.

16. A musical group: Destiny’s Child

17. An animal: Dove (peace~)

18. A street name: Dang Wangi

19. A type of car: I’m not exactly great when it comes to cars... (And I mean it. ‘coz I can’t even differentiate between Honda civic and bmw from far...yea I know ==) And so I cheated. Here comes the answer from mighty internet – DeLorean.

20. The title of a song: Ah this is easy. Do Re Mi. Everyone knows since kindergarten. Doe, a deer, a female deer~ Ray, a golden drop of sun~

Okay, I’m done. I admit this is more of a fun and requires more thinking than usual boring tags. Nope I don’t wanna tag others since I’m doing this for fun nor I have 20 people for me to tag, haha, so it stops here. Thanks for reading.

Stay tuNed, till I find the mood to blog again.
For those who hasn't notice, without the other author, this blog is so lonely~~
*when only u'll have internet connection la paya...*

tAta~

Ten minutes to 9:30pm, we said byebYe and ended our phone conversation. I thought I already overcome it this afternoon and faced the fact that Ed’s leaving very soon, as in within matters of hours. But still, when he said,

“Puiyee I’m leaving now…”

Tears still flooded my eyes. I know that it’s not like you’re going somewhere so remote and out of reach even with internet or I won’t be seeing you for another 10 years, but just the thought that I won’t be able to see you just streets away from my home or chat endlessly about craps whenever you ring by is sufficient to choke myself in tears. I guess what I'm afraid of are the changes and unknown possibilities there may be as time passes by. Hence the long pauses in our phone conversation right before you board the plane. And you thought I was busy playing msn… -.-”

But I know you’ve got your plate full already. Being all alone, and having to fit in an entirely new environment.

However, just as you said, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a sad affair. Parting with people is inevitable to pursue your chosen path. After all, in one’s life, countless people step into it and walk out of it. The ones who left footprints in your heart are the ones whom you truly cherish. *you'd better not have the idea of walking out on me just like that…*

Thinking from a different perspective, we may have close friends scattered all over the world in future but connected to each other simply by occasional but warm thoughts for each other. Isn’t that somthing beautiful as well?

We watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday. It wasn’t as touching as what my friend has told me, but the story is somewhat interesting and the dialogues are worth reflecting upon.

When Mrs. Maple was trimming Benjamin’s hair, Benjamin was feeling depressed at the thought of having to lose the people he loves as they grow older and he grows younger. Then Mrs. Maple said:

“Benjamin, we're meant to lose the people we love. How else would we know how important they are to us?”

How true... people always realize the significance of that someone after they lose them.
And finally, for papaya, I would like to quote this from Benjamin’s mama, Queenie:

“You never know what's comin' for ya.”

So look forward for what the future has got to offer. All the best. =)

Bidding farewell~

OH MY GOSH...
Its only a few hours left till i depart (cant believe it)...nervous,yeaps.Wish me luck guys.
Love ya~
It doesnt neccessarily need to be a sad affair.

A Lazy Afternoon...

It was another lazy afternoon...the only difference was that it's the last week before Edmund leaves for his moo moo land next Monday. After lingering around for while at his house, we decided to hang out at our usual Bukit Bintang area...

Two hungry people with two complimentary Rm10 worth vouchers, we dropped by Tony Roma's for a very late lunch.

Here's our starter, Onion Loaf (half). He wanted to order a full one (4-6 pax). Luckily the waitress advised against it. You won't wanna spend an hour to gulp down a gigantic onion ring...

We shared this Club Salad with Caesar dressing, you'll see why in the next picture.

Try comparing it with the normal plate next to it, you'll notice the abnormally large proportion. Aren't salad meant for people who didn't want a heavy meal??

Anyway, we tossed the salad like "lou sang" while muttering words wishing for health, prosperity, excellent results etc... Lol. Since I didn't have any yee sang this cny, this shall pass as a substitute...

Nice ambience captured with good photography skills. =P

And we started camwhoring~~

A samurai or a shy maiden with a weird expression?

The pictures start to get blur once my hand trembled in laughter.

Let's pause our war for a nice shot. Cheese~

2 hours later...

This is the best we could do. You are looking at our dinner as well.

After we're satisfied with annoying the waiter, we left for shopping~

It was not easy to shop all the way from klcc to pavilion to sungai wang to timesquare in the rain. And then the same places all the way back to klcc for transport... Don't play play!
(our stamina are not from jogging, but from shopping)

In the end I didn't get to buy anything... Instead that fella got more luck and bought a hat for nz~ so i curi for taking pics..haha.

Phantom and the hat...

After 10 seconds,

Phantom with the hat. =D

This is last pic we managed to take right before the camera died from excessive camwhoring...

Nvm~ still got hp. Haha...

Aih~ This may well be our last outing together like, for the rest of the year? Will miss you dearly~

Somberness

My dad is a man of a few words. As he ages,he becomes more and more stoic.Maybe it runs in our pedigree, the Yee clan.I found myself to be lost in words.A few days back,I took my effort to sit down by my grandma's side.I know she has a lot to tell me,and by her age,she needs nothing more than a companion.I tilted my head, observed her skeletal hands. Her hands were just barely wrapped with a paper-thin skin with distended veins running across her arms.I was amazed how humans grow and evolved and then shrink.

My grandma was the one who took care of me and my sis since i was born till i reach the age of twelve.I stared at her eyes, her pupils were becoming more greyish blue than ever, telling me stories in a voice only audible to me.My heart sunk when i took time to realise how small and frail she had become. The very next second i found myself in streams of tear, turning my back against her, acted as if i dropped my keys on the floor when she told me im her favourite grandson. She held my hand so tightly as if its the last time im able to see her ever again. She constantly recite on how worried she is,me being there all alone by myself.I really couldnt help but lied to her that my eyes itched due to dryness.

Today, through a telephone conversation, the voice of tht person cracked. From our nonsense talking, crapping, teasing and flirting which of all these, pretty much dwells into our mediocrity, and pretty much encapsulates the nature of how we communicate with each other, that person started to choke in her own tears. It may be too much for her and i felt tht once again,i have slowly resided to the grey area of legality.I promised myself tht i would never let the person who loved me so dearly to see me cry.I found myself lying on the bed, speechless, holding my breath and perplexed.I dont expect that;maybe i do,but i didnt wish that it would be this true...

And it starts to rain lightly...

Upbringing Matters

Don’t ever have children if you do not have the confidence to provide them with a healthy and loving environment to grow up in. Kids who grew up in a family which lacks sufficient love and care generally turn out in two extremes: Either that they are:

1) Determined to improve their condition with positive attitudes such as strong-willed and persistent in studies and career, thrifty in spending, high EQ with patience, and have identified clearly what kind of future they desired for and work hard towards achieving it, OR

2) Developed personality issues such as lack of sense of security, over protected towards oneself thus will not trust others easily, impatient, unable to “process” negative emotions such as anger efficiently, behave to others in an offensive manner, etc.

Of course they don’t necessarily be either one of type 1 or type 2. There’s a scale and their personalities can be anywhere along the scale, depending on whether the positive side dominates their characteristics or the negative side does.

However, there’s always a risk the latter may happen. Thus, do yourself and the rest of the world a favour: Don’t raise a kid if you and your other half are not ready to have one. Else, you’re just raising another defective individual to add to the already degenerating society.

*above is just my humble opinion. No offence intended.*

Thoughts #1

I enjoy reading about the story of others, interesting or adventurous ones.

Inspiration is what I’m looking for, to fill up the spiritual hollowness in my ordinary life. The more that I hear and see each day, the more firmly is my belief. Life is a journey, and the world being so vast, there are so many things for us to explore and discover. A lifetime simply isn’t enough. There are numerous people (me included) who live their lives day after day, without taking much of a deviation from their routine. Due to concerns such as financial constraint, family, work etc, humans mostly are unable or unwilling to leave the “comfort zone” they have settled in.

Being not all that sporting and outgoing, I too, am someone who has the tendency to stay in a familiar environment, in the usual position. However, this is not the kind of life I have in mind, at least not for my next fifteen years or so. I want something more than comfort and ordinary occasionally. I want to witness what this world has got to offer. Reading up till here, surely you may think here is another wacko dreaming about something ambitious yet almost impossible to be achieved, like travelling the world or earning my first million dollars before the age of thirty. Nope.

I have a wish. It may be simple or even immaterial to some, but it is something that I intend to do. I want to go backpack travelling with two or three friends overseas. I’ll start with somewhere not too far, perhaps Taiwan. (Interested ky? =D) It’s not about the country that I go to, but the things that I can learn and the memories I can accumulate. This will be my first step towards a greater aspiration. Every step will make a difference.

A sweet tale of a lad & a lass

Once upon a time in SMK Bukit Indah...

When we were rather young...and silly...

And surprisingly not that...attractive,yet...

In the heart of Ampang...

We've been through good times...

And bad times...

Studied together and still thriving through our lives...

Food,movies,shopping...

Exchanging gifts...

Sharing our problems...

Mockery...

Are all the vital elements that sustained our relationship...

We might do things in our own thoughts...

But Differences are embraced...

Countless reasons to celebrate... when im with you

Parting poignantly explores our inner strength & bond...may it be due to fate

Or Due to destiny...

Though i may be thousand miles away...

For i will always be close to your heart...

My last of everything

Travelling back to Ipoh made me realised that little do i have time to play and have fun.No more hanging out in Pavilion. No more aimless stares during the mornings. No more procrastinating for completing whatsoever dumb essays. No more clubbing. No more endless talks on the phone with friends. No more whining about how bored i am.Its exactly two weeks away from my departure.
I tried to make the best out of my recent CNY trip.My relatives,to be in particular,my cousins, whom i grew up with ,literally came up to me and gave me some advices. To make things more utterly awkward, they gave me additional ang pau-es,with greetings like 'all the best in ur future', 'best of luck in ur undertakings', 'gambateh'.It was rather an overwhelming scene. And no,there are no streams of tears. Its a chain reaction.I saw them all taking off from adolescence,to be conferred with degrees in their major of studies, get married and migrating, and now having kids.To them,i resemble their cycles, another phase they had already gone through and yet for me to step in.
Money notes were handed to me,enveloped by red wraps,so called ang pau-es; speaks no more than a medium, merely to spend on things so as to enjoy gratifying luxuries.Candies, clothes, maybe mobile phones too.Perceived as a ticket to spend as I please. An additional income which need not require much persuasion and perspiration from the elders.Yes,these WERE my primary thoughts of what ang-pau really means when i was younger. This year,i've learnt there is more to it.The past which captured the joy of being rewarded with money during this special day, even the relatively recent past,in my mind,is enshrouded by mist and is vaguely perceived. Now,the red packet symbolizes good luck ( at least,in my case it does). It is as if im not coming back for the future CNY celebrations anymore.
With reference to the quantity they gave, its hard to look over the fact that im going overseas to study is a petty issue. Thanks to them,i know its even a BIGGER DEAL.Judging from our age gap,i was moved by my cousins' action. We were civil to each other, but were never too close. We teased each other, talked and laughed together but were not that much of the type of friends that bother to drop a birthday message when we dont see each other during other time than this month. However, ours was just not a tie of blood ALONE.
Their concern surpassed my doubts. The doubts of them just merely acting out their roles as my elder cousins. Despite coercion,i was able to feel their sincerities.
Im always seeking refuge in my own world during the previous CNYs,keeping myself occupied with my own things, paralysed by my own induced fear but this recent CNY taught me that love from my family knows no boundary.
