Life

I've been mistaken as Edward.I've been mistaken as a 16 year old guy.And i've been mistaken as a Korean guy.Yes,i've been here for the past four weeks, homesick, most definitely.
Its half past eleven now,and i got my hubs (anatomy and physiology) class tommorow morning at eight a.m.Residents here are studying their arse off aiming for medicine,so as to compete with the other 1500 fortunates one.The life i led and chose now somewhat seems ...so different.Surreal.
And now im in the middle of the study room,as the name of the room suggested,i should be studying at this time too, similar to those 'try-hards'.But i've found time to blog, cause im just too tired of all this fast-pacing,never ending, say no to halt of pathway of life.
Dunedin is definitely a town composed by university students.Every head turn u took, its always related to the campus.Fun? Ya but in many different ways. The town,is definitely small,no huge malls,no fancy diner places, churches, gardens are everywhere.Serenity? Hmm...not really.Lets face it,its a town mostly full of students, its their gateway of freedom when they step into the uni.Dodgy places do exists here, abundant of them.My last visit to the Mcdonald was more to a shock, full of drunkards, students flooding in,half conscious, dressed up to the worse. There were sleepy security guards standing at the doorway, firmly as if they were the bouncer of the fast food chain (can u imagine tht?)
'Are you Alice in the Wonderland?'A guy randomly asked a girl dressed up as Snow White. She,then, pulling her long face and said No.She did it in a funnily manner, judging the way she dressed up too,she must be drunk. They introduced
themselves in the middle of the queue.
Another couple was seen fighting with a bunch of girls...about their orders. The whole shop looks run down, with chairs n tables upside down.As crappy as it is,the cashier who took my order was in his best of manners.Haha...
Its been a stressful week, and i had seen tht coming but never going.SO much to blog about,so little time.Till then, doodles~

An LRT ride

For the second time in my life, I lost the LRT card.

And unlike my previous time, this time my recklessness cost me RM7.80! That’s worth four trips to Hang Tuah already. Not to mention I’ve already paid the full amount to return to my station. So now the battered thin piece of fading blue card is worth RM7.80 huh?

Perhaps they encounter this problem almost on a daily basis that now they have raised the price for people to learn their lesson. So I asked the staff if I happen to find the card later can I come back to refund my money next time?

She looked at me and gave me a firm NO. =.=”

*rummaged through my bag for one last time*

Fine. There, RM7.80, take it. Stupid card. Not that I ever find it afterwards anyway.

Went to Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club today with a bunch of British council (BC) friends whom some I have not met for ages already… Shiuann is going through an operation soon so we take this as an opportunity for another gathering. I hope everything goes well for her. Photos will be uploaded after I got them from Jeremy and Clarissa.

PS: I think the RM7.80 might be my punishment for guiding a young decent guy into a train moving in the exact opposite direction of his intended destination. It wasn’t done on purpose. I was never really good in directions in the first place.
I hope he realized not more than a few stations away as he looked like he was in a rush. Hahaha….

The End of the Tough Sem...

When I finally got through and logged in, I scroll down. Slowly.

Then I saw it, my results. For a moment, I was elated. And also surprised, since I thought I could have done better for Financial Management. But that was all it lasted, a moment. Usually the joy can make my day. Now I can even suppress my desire to tell my parents about it, which is not usually the case for the past few years.

I have a feeling that they won’t feel much about it now, just like me.

I guess that’s what they mean by taking things for granted, especially when they have occurred more than once or twice. Either that or I have finally realized results are merely there to show how much you’ve worked for it. When the process has ended, the results pale in comparison. Perhaps that is why we are so much more relieved when the process has ended than we are happy or sad when the results are out. This is particularly true when we are talking about academic results, which do not guarantee success in other aspects of life.

It is time to improve myself. =)

End of holidayz~

After leaving this blog unattended for almost two weeks, at last I managed to gather my so-called “blogging mood” and sit here tapping onto my keyboard.

I have let the previous two weeks of holidays quietly slipped by without doing pretty much. Yeah of course there’s the online-daily-to-chat-and-watch-manga-or-drama part, there’s also the sleep-late-and-wake-up-as-late part. Certainly, I have gone out with friends for a few times but you can’t expect me to stay home and rot every day, can you? (Actually I don’t really mind that) But other than that, I can pretty much summarize that I have not fully utilized my holidays.

Look at Kimyen, at least she has slept and eaten like a pig. (haha don’t kill me ky, I meant it as a compliment =P) At least she had took her time to recharge and can start off the new sem, fully energized. Or look at Samuel, he has online non-stop for hours and still have time to go out many times in a week. Even Edmund has flown to New Zealand. (Even I don’t understand this comparison but I’ll just put there anyway) But I’m just stuck somewhere in between, which is neither play enough nor sleep enough and yes, I’m still stuck at home. Hahaha…

Anyway, the new timetable is out. Finally, our class gets our turn for a desirable schedule. Last sem’s was just so exhausting, and don’t even get me started on the numerous replacement classes just for three public holidays. This time, to our greatest pleasure, we only have classes on two days!! yaY~

That amount of free time, which is five days a week, allows me to ponder on many ideas. Good ones of course. I am thinking mayBe I can work part time. That would have to depend on results of my brief evaluation on the difficulty of the subjects after the first week into the sem and also, my parents’ consent. And of course, the major problem in most of my ideas, be it a normal outing or a planned trip, the transport. My parents seem to think public transport is too dangerous at night and tv dramas at night is too important to be missed. There’re still a lot to be considered. We’ll see, we’ll see.

Currently, I’m trying very hard to get back to a healthy lifestyle. That would first and foremost, include sleeping early. Don’t look lightly on this matter. This is extremely hard to be put into practice because:

1) During the sem, I simply have too much assignments and tutorials to finish before I can go to sleep. (notice I haven’t mention studying the notes)

2) When tests and exams are around the corner, I have to stay up late to study because I did not have sufficient time to do that during the sem – refer 1

3) When sem finished and holidays start, it’s hard to adjust your schedule straight away and you can’t deny it's hard to resist the temptation of PLAY ALL YOU CAN NOW THAT YOU'VE GOT THE TIME!! Haha…

Yea I know I asked for it in (3). Therefore now I’m gonna go offline and read my harry potter before I go to sleep at 12am ya. That’s the best I can do. =P

the so-called very difficult tag =P

Saw my name in Carmen's blog, tagged.

Since everyone's been talking about how this being the one of the few challenging tags, me-who-rarely-ever-do-tags shall give this a try..haha...

RULES:
It's harder than it looks!

As regular, copy to your own note, erase my answers, enter yours, and tag 20 people.
Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions.
They have to be real. Nothing made up!
If the person before you had the same first initial, you must use different answers.
You cannot use any word twice and you can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

1. What is your name: DeNise~

2. A four Letter Word: Damn (haha...)

3. A boy's Name: Daniel

4. A girl's Name: Danielle (convenient isn’t it=P)

5. An occupation: Doggie trainer?

6. A colour: Doraemon blue =D

7. Something you'll wear: Denim (Still looking for a nice pair of grey ones...)

8. (No Question? Anything I like! HAHA): Hmm...Things I like don’t start with 'D' you see...*thinks real hard* Oh! I like Dreams. Pleasant ones. Or those in which I can exercise my overflowing imagination to the fullest and materialize in my sleep what i couldn't in my real life =D

9. A food: Danish butter cookiEs~

10. Something found in the bathroom or your bag: err... Drink?

11. A place: Dunedin *wink*

12. A reason for being late: Datz me as usual! =P (well u can’t blame a girl for being late for 5 or 10 minutes will ya? There’s no need to clarify further Ed, if u ever see this haha)

13. Something you'd shout: Dear~ (if I ever find one, that is.)

14. A movie title: D. (As in the Initial D, u know, with Jay Chou...)

15. Something you drink: Dew, the honey dew.

16. A musical group: Destiny’s Child

17. An animal: Dove (peace~)

18. A street name: Dang Wangi

19. A type of car: I’m not exactly great when it comes to cars... (And I mean it. ‘coz I can’t even differentiate between Honda civic and bmw from far...yea I know ==) And so I cheated. Here comes the answer from mighty internet – DeLorean.

20. The title of a song: Ah this is easy. Do Re Mi. Everyone knows since kindergarten. Doe, a deer, a female deer~ Ray, a golden drop of sun~

Okay, I’m done. I admit this is more of a fun and requires more thinking than usual boring tags. Nope I don’t wanna tag others since I’m doing this for fun nor I have 20 people for me to tag, haha, so it stops here. Thanks for reading.

Stay tuNed, till I find the mood to blog again.
For those who hasn't notice, without the other author, this blog is so lonely~~
*when only u'll have internet connection la paya...*

tAta~

Ten minutes to 9:30pm, we said byebYe and ended our phone conversation. I thought I already overcome it this afternoon and faced the fact that Ed’s leaving very soon, as in within matters of hours. But still, when he said,

“Puiyee I’m leaving now…”

Tears still flooded my eyes. I know that it’s not like you’re going somewhere so remote and out of reach even with internet or I won’t be seeing you for another 10 years, but just the thought that I won’t be able to see you just streets away from my home or chat endlessly about craps whenever you ring by is sufficient to choke myself in tears. I guess what I'm afraid of are the changes and unknown possibilities there may be as time passes by. Hence the long pauses in our phone conversation right before you board the plane. And you thought I was busy playing msn… -.-”

But I know you’ve got your plate full already. Being all alone, and having to fit in an entirely new environment.

However, just as you said, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a sad affair. Parting with people is inevitable to pursue your chosen path. After all, in one’s life, countless people step into it and walk out of it. The ones who left footprints in your heart are the ones whom you truly cherish. *you'd better not have the idea of walking out on me just like that…*

Thinking from a different perspective, we may have close friends scattered all over the world in future but connected to each other simply by occasional but warm thoughts for each other. Isn’t that somthing beautiful as well?

We watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday. It wasn’t as touching as what my friend has told me, but the story is somewhat interesting and the dialogues are worth reflecting upon.

When Mrs. Maple was trimming Benjamin’s hair, Benjamin was feeling depressed at the thought of having to lose the people he loves as they grow older and he grows younger. Then Mrs. Maple said:

“Benjamin, we're meant to lose the people we love. How else would we know how important they are to us?”

How true... people always realize the significance of that someone after they lose them.
And finally, for papaya, I would like to quote this from Benjamin’s mama, Queenie:

“You never know what's comin' for ya.”

So look forward for what the future has got to offer. All the best. =)
