Contempt

"Do you want to talk? Are you alright?"
"Guessing he told you tht im annyd??Been 4 the last few days n now u ask if i wanna tlk...Not particularly at tis very moment"
"Why not? Btw, you are not the only person who is depressed"
"Oh n u r ?. "
I ended our brief texting session with saying Goodnite .

Its rather amazing how rumours spread like wild fire.Fascinating enough, you will realised how a story is twisted to the extent of amazing distortion. Her failure to address the real problem has been the core of the whole drama.I personally hate being entangled with catfights especially the hissy fits one.
Its been severely blown out of proportion when we all came back from our break.I needed a space of my own and she thought i was giving her a cold shoulder.Im not up to that good state of emotional well being; juggling with new semester, with new optional paper that i was still doubting whether to continue with it or not...
I do admit i deliberately ignored her (so do a lot of ppl) and then, i do admit i dissed her,but definitely not behind her back, but right at her face. Why?Because you push my buttons. And breached the line of my privacy.I did it to let her knw i need my own PERSONAL space.
The whole Hamner incident was induced mainly by the other female friends;me and a guy friend,J were just again hanging in between. We understand whats the frustration is all about, all rooted from the same reason,a flaw that one of our friends possesed that seems too much for the rest of us to handle, that is to dictate and boss us around.
It sounds minor, perhaps the whole idea of us having the major cold childish war nw is indeed a puny ludicrous incident. The thing is when you command and demand your friends around too much and always put yourself first above everyone else, our level of tolerance is definitely being tested.
Me and my good bud here J were planning to go flatting new year since last semester, deciding where to flat and who to flat with, which are one of the most common but difficult questions to be solved.Finding flatmates are pivotal in establishing ur near future (ya staying at least your whole freaking year with those flatmates). It randomly occur when one of our friends asked about our plan, and whether or not i'd ask her to flat with us,i dont know. So,we went out on a particular day with a few other friends that are potential me and J's flatmates to look for flats and visit J's friend's flat...To put things in short,it was just a spontaneous thing tht me n J prompted; to find out more abt the details of flatting.
The huge war erupted a few days ago when THAT particular friend,O started to realise she has been ignored and started to make things up like we do things behind her back eg flatting without her being our flatmate.LOok~first of all,you never ask me or J abt being our flatmate...second do think abt the REASONS we are giving u a cold shoulder and shoving u off,for a period of time.Again, she failed to acknowledge her own attitude was the problem and with a crude frontal attack on J,she progressively (and also agressively) attacked J with all these questions like why every1 is fucking backstabbing her , why everyone hates her,why everyone is not telling whats her problem. And then off she goes, forming her own alliance, knowing me and J and other friends are flatting together, spreading rumours about me n J to them, the whole backstabbing bitching thing.
Im...like wth...even in flatting aspect, you wanna compete with us.And the whole thing not telling her abt anythg flatting nex yr was a lie.We did tell her and she told others we deliberately talked abt it just to rub it on her face, just to hurt her.

Its hard to put them down in words, maybe its a lil confusing. But i just wanna say that all these shytes are purely not triggered by me and J,but from other friends who are so sick of tht 'O' person. I truly understand their frustration, but it does me n J no justice,as we both are not sure what did the other friends told her abt us.The friends tht will flat with us nex yr.

Its just stupid.

You are not alone...

I noticed that since Michael Jackson died, everyone seem to have something to say. It's everywhere. In newspapers, in televisions, in blogs. Views differ from one another. Some positive, some negative, some neutral.

I always find people who believed 100% of what appears in the entertainment news... narrow minded.

There's this Chinese proverb 无风不起浪, which basically means rumours don't appear for no reason. However, you know how entertainment news are like. They found bits of news which can be potentially "interesting", then add abit of this and that, and finally print it out with a really catchy title in BOLD on top of it. BAM! There you go, another scandal.
Thus, unless I've done sufficient research into that topic, I wouldn't go around "sharing" my opinions about someone else's life simply based on what I've heard from others. Especially when it's nothing close to a compliment.

After Michael Jackson passed away, suddenly light is shed upon the truth. Suddenly the child (adult now) who previously accused MJ of molesting him jumped out and admitted that it was all plotted by his parents for money. Suddenly more people realized that he is listed in the Guiness World Records for Most Charities Supported by a Pop Star. Suddenly people started to believe he actually bleached his skin because of his skin disease named Vitiligo.

I'm not writing this because I'm "suddenly" a huge fan of MJ. I've never been one, although I'm amazed by his dance moves and his effort in uniting people through his music.
The point I'm trying to make here is simple. Don't make judgements when you don't know the whole truth. I see people doing that all the time and not jokingly doing it. They actually believe whatever assumptions they make about people, sometimes even after facts have proved to the contrary.

Give others the benefit of doubt, and give yourself a chance to know others.

Here i embedded my favourite song of his -- You Are Not Alone.
It's a beautiful and touching song. Been humming this ever since I was a kid.

I came across the MV of this song this afternoon, as MTV was playing it as a tribute to him.
Suddenly this thought occured to me, that he might have been a lonely person, being misunderstood by so many.

Lately...

I have been very lazy.

Let me illustrate further. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Things that I need to do. The uncrossed ones on the right page is the most recent one for this coming weekend. I've been doing these to-do lists since I got into college. Too many things to be done that I have to get them outta my head, just so I can concentrate on the tasks at hand.

A pile of laundry waiting to be hand-washed.

Books and notes waiting for their presence to be acknowledged.

My classical piano...look at that beautiful layer of snowy dust.
When I’m in the mood, I’ll lift up its dusty lid, play, then close back its dusty lid.
I plan to hire a maid to do all my house chores next time. =D

Not in my top form in college either. The lectures are sO boring and dry, my goodness. It doesn’t help to have half an hour for lunch breaks most days either. How can you fully concentrate when you only have buns and sandwiches in your stomach?

I practically ask lei yee for the time (watch is not my thing) every other hour, just to see how many minutes to go before I can finally stop trying to force my focus on those tiny notes, which just seem to not register any meaning in my brain. Not the first time when I saw them in the lecture anyway.

When the boredom gets out of hand, I start sketching things that doesn’t make sense on the corner of my notes. Talking about totally unrelated stuffs, and giggling silently among ourselves. Then I would accomplish the mission of dragging other people down with me. Wohahaha…

I seriously need a break from this.

By the way, check out my favourite rack of books in the entire house. =D

I was totally addicted to twilight series, not ready to let it go even when I finished reading all 4 books.

The movies really do not do justice to these books. I feel bad for the author. But when I thought of how much the movies are really contributing to the authors' bank accounts, I feel bad for the readers. They are the ones who look forward to the movies, drawn by great plots in the books, only to be disappointed by how the movies turned out to be like. Yet, when the next movie comes out, they will once again find themselves unwillingly lining up for the tickets. That's how they exploit readers and make big money. Yeayea you're right, I'm complaining because I'm one of them.
